About the Site

History
Yes, this is a dolls site. It is something that I enjoy doing. I started this out as "Grapevine Dolls" on a crappy half megabyte free account that came with an @unitedstates.com free email address. Then I got disgusted with that and moved to geocities, changed the site name to Candice's Dolls (origional, no?), got frames and a new color scheme (black). A couple months and a name change later, I was "Childlike Dolls" on fateback, then "Child's Pixels" which never worked out, then "The Tower" which is staying. Fellow Tamora Pierce fans will be able to spot the allusion in my site name, as well as guess my favorite quartet.

General
I make my layouts and dolls in Paint Shop Pro 7.04 and do all my coding by hand in this nifty program called editpad lite. Hand coding is by far superior to WYSIWYG editing. I'm hosted at fateback.com (dur...), and I don't keep a guestbook because they're too much trouble. My frames came from a template, sorry 'bout that, I can't explain them, although one day I will provide that themplate for download.
